(masking) TAPE SHOES
The aim of this project was to make a pair of shoes out of paper. "Turning a weak sheet of paper into a strong 3 - dimensional object!"
The type of paper material that I chose was, masking tape. With two rolls of masking tape, I was able to make a shoe each. This pair of shoes is a 100% masking tape.
The soles of these shoes were made out of cardboard initially, but in order to make it completely out of the same material, I had to take the cardboard soles off of each shoe.
By imitating the corrugated texture of the cardboard, I was able to make the soles out of masking tape as well.
A very useful fact about these shoes are that they can be folded, tied around with its straps and placed in a bag to be carried about.
